Hola! Me llamo Marelys Acosta y estoy feliz de pertenecer al equipo de trabajo de la Escuela Primaria Major. Mi maravillosa familia está compuesta de mi esposo Aaron y mis hijos Cristian, Jose, Sofía y Azul.

Hace veinty-dos años que me convertí en maestra y desde entonces he trabajado en el programa bilingüe Primero en el Distrito escolar de Lufkin en donde enseñe desde pre kindergarten hasta segundo grado en una clase de lenguaje dual. En el año 2006 nos mudamos al area de Spring en donde trabaje por tres años en la Escuela Primaria Thompson kindergarten bilingüe y también en el programa de lenguaje dual en el cual trabajé también con los niños de primer grado. Actualmente trabajo en la escuela Elemental Major donde me desempeñe como maestra bilingüe en cuarto grado .

Hello! My name is Marelys Acosta and I am glad to be a part of the Major Elementary team. I am married and have four wonderful children: Cristian, Jose, Sofia and Azul.

I became a teacher 22 years ago and have taught from Pre- K to fourth grade, which I love to teach. I started as a Bilingual teacher in Lufkin ISD, in which I worked for 6 years and then moved to the Spring area in 2006. In the Spring district, I worked at Thomson Elementary as a Bilingual kindergarten teacher for three years and Kindergarten and first grade in the Dual language program. Currently I am teaching Bilingual fourth grade.
