Carl Wunsche Sr. High School Advanced US History Key Information

All 11th Grade US Hsitory students take the US History STAAR End of Course exam at the end of the school year. It is a requirement to pass this exam in order to graduate from high school.

Tutoring information
Students are encouraged to make individual arrangements with their US History teacher if they need additional assistance outside of class. They should let their teacher know ahead of time if they need to stay after school. Activity buses run Mondays and Thursdays at 4pm.

I am originally from New Orleans, LA and am a graduate of the University of New Orleans, the University of Houston, and the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Furthermore, I research and write history, focusing on US Naval History and the US Civil War.

Rogelio Solis
Hi, my name is Rogelio Solis and this is my Second year at Wunsche. I was raised here in Houston and graduated from the University of Houston. Some of my other interests include binge watching TV shows and trying new restaurants. Occasionally you can catch me on weekends doing some type of outdoor activity or hanging out with my family. I am excited to join this wonderful staff. Let's make it a great year, Wunsche family.
