I am originally from Oklahoma, and earned my B.S. degree in Family Relations and Child Development/Early Childhood Education at Oklahoma State University.  I obtained my Master of Education / Library-Media Specialist from East Central University of Oklahoma. 

I taught elementary students for 22 years in Oklahoma, serving in PreK, Kindergarten and 2nd grade.  Since moving to Texas, I was a Librarian in Conroe ISD for one year, then I taught 2nd grade ELA/Social Studies for 3 years at Burchett Elementary School in Spring ISD and this is my 7th year to be the librarian for our Burchett Bobcats. This year begins my 33nd year in education.  I love doing what I love every day!!

I have two grown children and two grandchildren.  My husband and I have 2 rescue dogs, Gabby and Gracie who keep us very busy!
