Make a simple task incredibly complicated.
Apply redstone circuits along with other mechanisms powered by redstone to create a completely inefficient overly-complex machine to solve a simple problem.
Use Humor if possible. This mechanism should not only be ridiculously unnecessarily complex, but also somewhat fun / funny to watch. How might you use:
Burning Mobs?
Anvils dropped on mobs?
Water dumped on NPCs?
Massive animal spawns (like a bunch of chickens raining from the sky)?
Consistency - while setting off your contraption will not always look exactly the same, it should work the whole way through every time.

Challenge 2: Rube Goldberg Machine
Make a simple task incredibly complicated.
Apply redstone circuits along with other mechanisms powered by redstone to create a completely inefficient overly-complex machine to solve a simple problem.
Use Humor if possible. This mechanism should not only be ridiculously unnecessarily complex, but also somewhat fun / funny to watch. How might you use:

Consistency - while setting off your contraption will not always look exactly the same, it should work the whole way through every time.
Example World:
A complex redstone device might not be every miner's cup of tea, but a giant chain reaction device can be a quite entertaining thing to build and test, and players can learn a lot from it.
Click on the link above and download the world. Open this example on your Minecraft app and explore this example of a complex machine.
Performance Expectations:
Students are expected to use design, creativity, humor, and ridiculously unnecessary complexity when considering how to map out their contraption.
