THE PINK SLIP

Should your daughter be ill and unable to attend school, please use the absentee facility on the d6 + or telephone the Secretaries’ office before 09:00 and upon her return to school send a note via the office. Should your daughter have an unavoidable appointment during school hours, kindly send a signed note to the office at the beginning of the day, also for their attention. Parents are requested to collect the girls from the school office on such occasions and a Permission Slip should be obtained from the Secretaries and handed to the Security Guard on duty on your way out. No girl may leave the premises during school hours without this permission/security slip.

Annual Carol Service

Springfield Management and Staff invite you and your family to attend the annual Carol Service.

Date: Monday 2 December 2019

Venue: Springfield Gardens

Please bring along your picnic, blankets, candle and chairs

Picnic: 5.30pm

Service: 6.00pm


Reminder: Springfield Carols Service 2 December

This year's Carols will be a celebration under the stars beginning with a picnic from 5:30 and commencing in our Carols service in our lovely gardens from 6-7pm. Students may wear civvies while performers are asked to dress in jeans and a white t-shirt with something glitzy in the hair. Fun activities have been arranged for children under 6 years. Ushers will direct them to the RE room near the gardens. Please note that this year's monetary Collection is in aid of NOAH (Neighbouring Old Age Homes). Funds assist the Grade 11s in hosting the NOAH Christmas party which takes place the day after Carols.

Please bring:

  • a candle
  • a picnic and picnic blanket (chairs provided for the elderly)
  • friends and family
  • a monetary donation if possible

Schedule for the Final Week of Term 4

The final weeks of the school year is upon us. The basic schedule will run as follows:

Friday 29 November: Lockers need to be cleared out. Lockers not emptied, will have the locks cut and contents of the locker donated to charity.

Monday 2 December: School will end at 12h00

Tuesday 3 December: School will end at 12h00

Wednesday 4 December: Report hand out at 11h15. School will end at 11h30


Report Collection:

Reports will be issued at 11h15 on Wednesday 4 December 2019. Reports will not be issued before this time. Pupils must sign for the reports. If a pupil is unable to collect a report then parents may nominate another pupil to collect. Please inform the office via email snrpost@springfieldconvent.co.za of the name of the pupil or parent who you would like to collect on your behalf. Uncollected reports can be picked up from the Senior School Office until 12h00 on Thursday 5 December. Post that, they can be collected from the Accounts office by arrangement during office hours. (021 - 797 5459).

2020 Car discs:

For security purposes the car parking disc will change at the start of each year. Families will be issued with one free disc. Further discs may be purchased from the secretarie's offices at the cost of R10 each.
