Mission Statement
To prepare students to enter into the athletic training profession as competent, caring and compassionate health care providers. We create safe and dynamic learning environments that support the personal, professional, and academic growth of students. We commit to maintaining contemporary expertise and implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies through an evidence based approach. Students will be prepared to employ a holistic approach to providing healthcare, leadership and service within the community informed by the Humanics philosophy.
Program Goals
To prepare students to successfully earn the athletic training credential granted by the Board of Certification© for the Athletic Trainer and transition into professional practice as evidence-based health care providers.
To develop the student’s critical thinking skills to effectively engage in scholarly inquiry, life-long learning, reflective practice, and clinical reasoning.
To foster leadership and service within the community, informed by the Humanics philosophy.
