Our Spelling Bee will be in-person. Guests are welcome; please check in at the front reception area outside the auditorium.
The District Spelling Bee uses words from the following sources:
“2026-2027 School Spelling Bee Study List” and “2027 Words of the Champions”
(Your campus Spelling Bee Coordinator will provide these preparation materials; alternately, parents can create an account to access these lists at resourcecenter.spellingbee.com/register)
Early rounds are selected from the School Spelling Bee Study List, Bee Difficulty Levels One, Two and Three OR
Words of the Champions, Bee Difficulty Level One
Early rounds will also contain at least one vocabulary round and one written round
Middle rounds are selected from Words of the Champions, Bee Difficulty Levels One and Two only
Middle rounds may contain at least one vocabulary round
Final rounds are additional words selected from the dictionary, not from Scripps study materials.
There will be no vocabulary rounds in the final rounds
