To print the service sheet below, click on it and if it opens in your google drive, then go to file > make a copy > print. Do not request permission to access. Just make your own copy to print. If it opens as a pdf, then print. There are copies of service sheets outside Ms. Pickett's room in a bin for you, too!
Service Projects 2023-24
Below are our requirements for service. We do not anticipate any changes this year, BUT if our service options are limited, then we will adjust our requirements as needed.
A total of 15 service projects are required.
7 service projects are due by Dec. 15, 2023.
The remaining 8 service projects are required by May 10, 2024.
Service projects may not be repeated. Only exception to that rule is fall/spring recycling. You MAY do both semesters which will count as 2 service projects.
Of the 15 service projects, up to 4 projects can be "outside" projects. The remaining must be MMS projects. For more info on "outside" service opportunities, please scroll down.
Members completing 20+ projects will receive a Service Award in addition to their NJHS certificate for going above and beyond their service requirements.
Keep track of your service on the project sheet. We recommend that you take a picture of your service sheet every time you complete a project. If you lose your sheet, you can print the picture!
Outside Service Opportunities
Of your 15 required projects, up to 4 may be "outside" service projects.
"Outside" projects are any type of service opportunity to our community that isn't posted/offered through MMS NJHS. Examples of such service can be: camp counselor, church missions, girl/boy scout service, NCL, ACL, TWRC, CAP, etc. If you are unsure if a service opportunity will count, just ask a sponsor!
