Pamela Weber Harris is the new lead author of Discovering Advanced Algebra, and author of Building Powerful Numeracy for Middle & High School Students, Lessons & Activities for Building Powerful Numeracy, and Building Powerful Numeracy: A Facilitator’s Guide. A former secondary mathematics teacher, Pam currently teaches at Texas State University, is a K-12 mathematics education consultant, a T³ (Teachers Teaching with Technology) Instructor, and an author and coauthor of several professional development workshops. Pam presents frequently at conferences. Her particular interests include numeracy, sequencing tasks, technology, assessment, and vertical connectivity in curricula in schools K-12.
Ben Wilkoff is the Director of Blended and Personalized Learning in Aurora Public Schools. He led the Personalized Professional Learning efforts in Denver Public Schools. He has taught middle schoolers English. He has managed online communities for Edmodo and been an Online Learning and Technology Resources Specialist for Douglas County Schools. He was named the Totally Wired Teacher of the year in 2007 by Edutopia and has blogged at Learning is Change since 2004. He is married to his favorite person, and loves his three children quite a little bit. He is passionate about personalized learning, technology with purpose, and creating at least one new thing every day. In short, he teaches, and learns. A lot.
Sara Wilkie is Head of Learning Design for November Learning. She specializes in building the capacity of future-focused learning teams. She strives to foster an understanding of the connections and interplay between technology, pedagogy, and curriculum, and the process changes necessary to shift the focus form teaching to learning. Through hands-on learning-centered and job-embedded experiences, Sara works side by side with K-12 students, teachers and administrators to re-examine deeply held beliefs and patterns of teaching and learning.
Roy McCloud is a lead innovator at Birmingham Covington School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
Kai Johnson joined the fourth grade team at Graland Country Day School in Denver, Colorado as a lead teacher in 2015, after beginning his career in New York City teaching fourth and fifth grade at a Montessori school. He focuses on teaching language arts and social studies and works to integrate technology to foster creativity and collaboration in his classroom. Kai believes strongly that books provide an essential opportunity for students to see mirrors of themselves and windows into the lives of others, and through discussion and inquiry his classroom looks critically at issues in literature, history and current events. He also serves as the English Department Chair.
