Half days on Thursday, 2/7, and Friday, 2/6! Please reach out to your child's teacher for a Spring Conference!
Greetings, Timberwolf Families!
Our kindergartners were precious celebrating the 100th day of school!
Please complete the 25-26 School Year Survey (Spanish) that was sent out this week. This helps us make informed decisions for our upcoming school year! As previously communicated, we will be relocating to the East Transition Campus in the fall of 2025, as we begin the rebuild process of Terrace. Transportation will be provided!
Our Annual Chocolate Fundraiser event has kicked off! Each child brought home a permission slip this week in their take home folder. Alternatively it can be found here. Please consider signing and returning this form, which indicates that you commit to selling at least 1 box of chocolate bars. See the flier for more information about selling and incentives for students (ie: magic shows, dance parties and more)! Our campus goal is to sell 300 boxes of chocolate by February 21, 2025 and raise at least $6,000 to support learning opportunities and experiences for our Timberwolves.
SBISD is looking for volunteers to serve on the District Improvement Committee. Throw your name in the hat and learn more about how decisions are made in the district. See below and click here for more information!
Safety:
Lunch Visitors: All visitors coming to have lunch with their students must be listed in Skyward as a family member. If an extended family member is planning on having lunch with your child and is not listed in Skyward, our office must have a note in writing approving this. Please email: tce@springbranchisd.com at least 24 hours prior to the lunch visit. Unfortunately, we will have to turn people away if proper protocol is not followed.
*All parents/guardians are required to show some form of picture ID in order to check out a student at Terrace or enter the building. This person must also be listed as an authorized pick up person for the child in Skyward. Please ensure you are bringing either your drivers license, a passport or some other version of a picture ID. Thank you for your collective efforts in keeping our kids safe.
Anyone who wants to volunteer at Terrace (including for field trips) must be approved by the district. Please complete the application here: https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/NjExOmVuLVVT

Spring Assessment Dates
Please schedule appointments accordingly. For state assessments, students are required to complete their tests on the same day they begin. As a result, students who leave early on a testing day may not be able to finish. On these days, Terrace will be a "Closed Campus" meaning we will not have volunteers or visitor on site.
If you have questions, please reach out to Brooke Bramlett (Campus Testing Coordinator) at:
via Remind or at

This week your child's teacher reached out with information about our upcoming Friendship Celebration! We appreciate your generosity as you help donate requested items to the fun!
Consider working with your child at home to make a small bag or box (fits in their backpack) for them to collect their cards during the celebration and send it with them on 2/14. Some examples are below!
If, for any reason, you would like your child not to participate in our Friendship Celebrations, please email tce@springbranchisd.com and we will provide an alternate activity.

Hello, Timberwolves!
I am enjoying getting to know your children as I serve your family as the School Counselor. I am here to help ALL students be successful socially, emotionally, and behaviorally so they may access their education without barriers. Please reach out if there is anything you would like me to know about your student or family. I am happy to help and would love to hear from you!

The months of January and February are all about being an effective Communicator and Collaborator.
SBISD believes that Every Child skillfully conveys thoughts, ideas, knowledge and information and is a receptive and responsive listener. By the end of 5th grade, students will have achieved the following milestones:
Respectfully expresses their thoughts, feelings, needs, and ideas with peers and adults.
Knows that body language and actions are another way to communicate.
Communicates to connect with others.
Pays attention and asks questions to understand what others think and feel.
Collects information to determine the difference between fact and opinion.
Shares their ideas and respects the ideas of others when part of a group.
Respectfully asks questions and thinks about their needs and those of others, offering and accepting suggestions to move forward.
In Spring Branch ISD we support the core characteristics of communication and collaboration by focusing on respectfully expressing our needs with peers and adults, paying attention to the needs of others, and asking questions to understand through the morning announcements, community circles, and/or counseling lessons across the months of January and February.
Try This At Home
Activity 1: The Great Jigsaw Puzzle Challenge
It's time to put your problem-solving skills to the test! Gather your family members in a common area and spread out the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. But wait, here's the twist - put away the picture on the box! Yes, you heard it right, this time we're building the puzzle without a picture. Working together, piece by piece, you'll uncover hidden sections and slowly form a complete picture. Collaborate, communicate, and
observe as you find the perfect fit for each piece. Celebrate every little triumph along the way and support each other through the challenges.
Activity 2: Master Chefs in the Kitchen
Get ready for an adventure as every family member takes charge of one dish for a collaborative dinner. First, sit down together and plan the menu, taking into account everyone's preferences and dietary needs. You can even get creative and make each part of the meal in secret to see how they come together! Once the menu is set, assign each family member a specific dish or task. Take turns in the kitchen coordinating your efforts to create a delicious feast. Engage in discussions while
cooking, sharing stories, and laughter. Ask questions like: What makes working with others fun? What makes working with others difficult? It's the perfect opportunity to learn from one another. Finally, gather around the table and indulge in the collaborative meal you've prepared. As you savor each bite, reflect on the experience and discuss what you enjoyed about working together and the challenges you
overcame.
February 10 - 14

GOLDEN ATTENDANCE!!!
Golden Attendance celebrations are a way of recognizing those students whose daily attendance is exemplary. Each nine weeks we have a celebration during lunch to encourage students to keep up the great attendance. Attendance matters and we want everyone to participate in the fun activities! Please encourage your child at home and spread the message that attendance matters. To the left you will find all of the great activities we have planned and important dates for Golden Attendance.
Congratulations to our Golden Attendance Award Winners! Way to be at school every single day this past 9 weeks! These students were honored in front of their peers and we even got to watch our very own SWHS Cheerleaders perform for us at lunch! Make every day count - maybe your student will win a prize next 9 weeks for perfect attendance!
Hello!
Everyone wants the students to be here and participating in school if they are well. Please remember, students who have experienced fever 100 or greater may return to school when they are fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medications.'
I am seeing more chapped lips with burning and they are having to leave class to come the clinic. Best thing to use is vasoline, and if you can put on before the student goes to bed and when they wake up this will help!
Remember about teaching your student good handwashing, this is so important to prevent spreading germs.
Remember to please update in Skyward all phone numbers especially your emergency contacts.
Thank you so much
Please review the following information and contact the clinic for any questions/concerns
