Mrs. Breitwieser is a social worker for The Foodbank in Dayton, Ohio. The children learned how The Foodbank serves more than 100 member food pantries around the Miami Valley. We were in awe with how The Food Bank utilizes a hydroponic growing system to grow 14 different kinds of fresh lettuce. Mr. Rahe shared information about his career as a Director of Production at Cintas. He helped the class understand how they can use these related career skills to manage a neighborhood lemonade stand. The children realized, that if you can problem solve well, you can be a Director of Production.

Dr. Fyffe, a neuroscientist, came in to talk to us about the wonders of the brain. It was amazing to watch our brain in action through an experiment he showcased with his granddaughter, Isla. I know the class has a whole new appreciation for what the brain does!
