2024 Senior Course Selection Process - Student Guide

Please note for some students there will be an adapted course selection process, students will be notified if they will follow an adapted process.

Step 1: Passion/Pathway Evaluation

Term 3 Week 5

This is two lessons of Learning Advisory time where your Pouāwhina will provide you with tools to enable you to evaluate your subject areas of interest. This will help you reflect on your current courses, and start the planning for next year course selections. It will also help you to make connections between your areas of interest and potential future career pathways.

Step 3: Fill out your Learning Portfolio

Term 3 Week  7


Select your courses and input them into your Learning Portfolio. You will need this completed for your IDP meeting. Your Pouāwhina (Learning Advisory Teacher) will give you access to your Learning Portfolio via your LA google classroom.

Step 4: IDP Meeting

Term 3 Week  8

Make sure you have booked your IDP meeting and have completed (as much as you can) your 2024 Learning Portfolio ready for the meeting.

Step 5: Submit your courses via the Course Selection Portal

Term 3 Week 9

The course selection portal is now closed. If you have not completed your course selection see your Poutiaki (Dean).

Your Username: KAMAR portal username

Your Password: KAMAR portal password


The online course selection portal opens Term 3 Wednesday 30th August. It closes Monday 25th September at 3:10pm. 


Make sure you hit 'save' and then 'close'.


If you want to double check that your course selections have been submitted, log back into the portal and if your selected courses are still there that means they have been saved and submitted.
