The Saskatoon Industry Education Council (SIEC), in partnership with Cisco, is offering a fully funded Cisco Computer Networking course beginning in Semester 1 this school year. Students accepted into the program will earn the Computer Networking 30L credit. See the attachment for more details.

Delivery Model: Hybrid (online modules, bi-weekly instructor support, in-person industry experiences)
Cost: No cost to students

SaskCode offers free coding and robotics kits to all PSSD teachers who have taken a PD session. If you have not taken a PD session, please sign up for a session.
All our sessions are 1 - 1.5 hrs long, are hands on, interactive, and are held online via zoom after school hours starting at 3:30. Once you take a session, you can book a coding and robotics kit to use in your classroom. All of our lessons and activities are found on www.saskcode.ca to use with your kit.

Trade Trek 2026 – Save the Date
Trade Trek is a new hands-on career exploration event for students in Grades 7–9, taking place on October 27 & 28, 2026, at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon. Students will have the opportunity to explore careers in the skilled trades through interactive activities, real tools, and demonstrations led by industry professionals. Trade Trek is designed as a high-energy, hands-on experience rather than a traditional career fair.
The event is hosted by the Saskatoon Industry Education Council (SIEC) in partnership with the Merit Contractors Association.

Who: Grades 7–9 students
When: For PSSD students - October 28, 2026 - am only
Where: Prairieland Park, Saskatoon
Cost: Free
Transportation: Bus transportation will be arranged and paid for by SIEC
Format: Half-day (am) experience for students
