 ACCESSING  TRANSCRIPTS

Beginning August 1st, 2024 there will be a new process for students to access their official transcripts using a third-party website, www.mycreds.ca.

NEW MyCreds TRANSCRIPT REQUEST PROCESS is as follows:

1. Submit your PERSONAL email (non-school, non-parent) that you will use after grade 12 to your administrator or admin assistant in the office. From there they will submit your email address to MSS and then connect that email you provided with MyCreds. This may take a day or two.

 2. Go to this website: High School or Adult 12 Transcripts

3. Once you have clicked the button you will be taken to a screen that will require you to fill out your information. This will also include a section where you will need to provide a picture of your photo ID, as well as a picture (selfie) of you with your photo ID included (right next to your face). After submitting all the information you should receive an email within a few days letting you know that you're setup to access MyCreds and begin sharing your transcripts with post-secondary institutions.

4. Each share of your transcripts will cost $15.00 per institution.

Technical Institute

Saskatchewan Polytechnic - www.saskpolytech.ca

Saskatchewan Polytechnic serves students through applied learning opportunities at campuses in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon, and through extensive distance education opportunities. Programs serve every economic and public service sector. The institution provides the depth of learning appropriate to employer and student need, including certificate, diploma and degree programs, and apprenticeship training.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic engages in applied research, drawing on faculty expertise to support innovation by employers, and providing students the opportunity to develop critical-thinking skills.

The First Qualified/First Admitted (FQFA) process is used for the majority of Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs. The sooner an application is received with all of the required documentation (application, fee, transcripts, requested documents), the earlier that applicant may become 'qualified' for admission to a program. The day that an application is considered complete is the FQFA date. Qualified applicants are admitted in the order of their assigned FQFA dates.

Once the program is filled, qualified applicants are waitlisted in the same order. If seats become available, additional admission offers are made. Following the program start date, any domestic waitlisted applicants who have not been offered a seat are invited to reapply for the next academic year, and by doing so will maintain their FQFA date.

The Competitive process is used for a small number of Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs.  The following programs are currently designated. For more information on admission requirements for competitive programs, refer to the program's official web page.

Degree programs

The Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, delivered in partnership with the University of Regina, uses a competitive admission process. Applications are ranked according to specific program requirements. Refer to the program website for details.

Diploma programs

The following diploma programs are designated as competitive.

Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology

Dental Hygiene

Medical Laboratory Technology

Medical Radiologic Technology

Practical Nursing

In order that a program be considered for the Competitive Admission Process, the number of qualified applications must be at least 2.5 times the seat capacity, at each Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus location where it is offered, for two consecutive years.

$75 per online application

Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship is an “earn while you learn” system of building a career with 50 trades+ to choose from in Saskatchewan. The “apprentice” learns the skills of the trade under the supervision of an expert “journeyperson”.

Designated Trades in Saskatchewan

There are over 40 designated trades and 20 subtrades in Saskatchewan. https://saskapprenticeship.ca/designated-trades-searchable/

What are the steps of apprenticeship?

1)     Find an employer willing to provide the necessary on-the-job training and supervision in one of the designated trades.

2)     Sign an apprenticeship contract with the employer and register it with the Sask Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission (SATCC).

3)     Work and learn on the job for the required period of time.

4)     Submit your hours of work – trade time – to the SATCC every few months.

5)     When notified by the SATCC, attend technical training for the required number of weeks each year.

6)     Pass your technical training and certification exams.

7)     Congratulations, you’re a journeyperson!
