Welcome! You've arrived at the math intervention site for Prairie Spirit School Division. This site has been created to support PSSD teachers with math-specific intervention strategies. A wide variety of resources are available by browsing through the pages on this site.
Some things you should know in order to navigate this site:
If this is your first time here, your first stop should by the Intervention 101 page. It explains the suggested intervention steps you might use to have the best experience.
The remainder of the site includes resources that are specific to a grade level AND a specific math skill. For example, you will find a sheet that has supports that could be used for grade 3 students understanding of addition. The skills all align with the scope and sequence listed below.
If you teach a specific grade, you might find it useful to click on the "Organized by Grade" tab to see what supports are available for your grade level and the associated skills.
If you find that you are teaching a specific skill (example: converting from percents to decimals to fractions) it will be more useful to click on the "Organized by Skill" tab. Likewise, if you are teaching a skill and need to differentiate for a student or provide intervention that starts at a lower grade, the Organized by Skill tab will be very useful.
We hope you find this site useful! If you'd like to connect further, connect with our Math Strategic Facilitator. (Find that info on the Acknowledgement page.)
