Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) 

SLHS offers the ASVAB test once every Fall.

• The ASVAB is a FREE standardized test that reveals areas of strength and ability in science, math, and language. Taking the test is the first step before enlisting in the military.

• The ASVAB is offered for ALL students, not just those who have an interest in joining the military. Students should take this test if they are unsure of a career path.

• For students torn between joining the military and going to college, one option is to do both by joining the ROTC!

Sergeant Ryan Sawyer is a military recruiter who visits the high school as needed.  Get in touch with Mrs. Nelson or Mrs. O'Rourke if you are interested in the military and they can set up a time for you to visit with Sergeant Sawyer!
