The Creative Summer Workshops will be held between Monday, June 24 - Friday, July 26, 2024, except for the Instrumental Music Program which will conclude the evening of July 25th. There will be no workshops on Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.
All workshops will operate DAILY between 9AM and 1PM. Workshops will be located at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.
Offerings are geared to the age and ability of our students. Workshop titles bear grade references to those as of September 2024. These grade references should be viewed as guidelines and are not intended to discriminate against students of other ages who may wish to participate.
Registration is on a “first come, first served” basis. Many workshops have limited enrollment and if they are filled
your child will be placed on a waiting list. The Creative Summer Workshop is open to students from Scotch Plains
and Fanwood, as well as all surrounding communities. Registration is ongoing until classes are filled.

PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE ONLINE VIA CREDIT CARD OR PAID BY CHECK IF MAILED-IN OR DROPPED OFF TO THE SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD BOARD OF EDUCATION OFFICE WITHIN 4 DAYS OF REGISTERING YOUR CHILD.

Please make sure you save a copy of your receipts for your tax records for 2024 when you pay for classes.
We are unable to provide a receipt of the classes next year.
See individual workshops for tuition and material fees. Tuition is all-inclusive. Please note that some classes have additional fees for materials and/or supplies indicated in the course description. Students should report at the appropriate time period and place on the first day of class. Students will be notified in the event of schedule changes.
Many of the workshops will feature a “Show and Share” session at the high school for families and friends on Thursday, July 25th. Invitations will be sent home in July for this occasion. Our Music School and performance classes will have an evening performance Thursday, July 25th at 6PM in the high school auditorium. All families of our musicians and all students enrolled in the CSW are permitted to attend with their families. More information will be sent home to students enrolled in these classes once the session begins.
Refund requests must be made in writing via email and submitted by Friday, June 14, 2024. Unfortunately no refunds will be granted once the Workshops have begun. If a student cancels prior to the first scheduled class, the tuition fee minus a $10.00 administrative fee will be returned.
The Coordinators reserve the right to limit class size and to withdraw or add courses and activities in the interest of all concerned. No participant may switch from one workshop to another once the Creative Summer Workshops have begun unless the Coordinators deem that a participant’s health condition warrants such a change.
