ELAR

This week, we will be getting into full swing. For starters, we will be handing out our handwriting books in class, as well as begin practicing our letters in cursive. For spelling, we will be focusing on the common vowel pairs of -ai, -ay, -ee, and -ea. In grammar, we will be reviewing simple subjects, and begin working with coordinating conjunctions. In reading, we will begin reading the book, Destiny's Gift.

Social Studies

In social studies this week, third grade will be selecting an explorer that he or she will be studying in class.
