My friend Dacia Jones is the creator of STEAM in the Park. She's wrapping up her 5th year of hosting 12 summer camps for educators in National Parks throughout the USA. I had the opportunity to attend National Olympic Park in Washington in August 2023. Her themes are on integrating nature, journaling and the outdoors in the classroom along with emerging STEM learning opportunities throughout the week long camp. For more information, be sure to check out her website.
The Plug Into Learning conference by the Educational Technology Council (ETC) of the Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA) will be held on Friday, March 13 – Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Canmore, Alberta. You can find more details, including a schedule of events, on the ATA's Educational Technology Council Conference page or the Plug Into Learning Conference Sched page.
The International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) is a world class event where thousands of educators from around the world gather to learn, share and explore about the best technologies in today's classrooms from sought after speakers. I had the opportunity to attend ISTE 2022 in New Orleans and was in awe of what I learned, who I met and what I took away to bring back to the profession. Next year is in Orlando, FL. For more information, check out the conference link.
Too far to travel? ISTE offers virtual registration where you can still join in on many incredible sessions.
