Musclo Privacy Policy

Applies to: Musclo mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

1) What we collect
Workout data you enter: exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest times, notes, perceived effort, session metadata (date/duration).
Subscription & purchase validation: non-personal purchase receipts and transaction status from Apple App Store / Google Play to activate or renew your subscription. We do not receive your full payment details.
Support messages (if you contact us): the email content you send to our support address.
Device basics: limited technical information that apps commonly receive automatically (e.g., app version, OS version, device model) to keep the app working and secure.
We do NOT collect: contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers for ad targeting, HealthKit/Google Fit data (unless we later add an explicit, opt-in integration—currently we do not).
2) How we use your data (purposes & legal bases)
Provide the Service (show, back up, and sync your workouts; validate your subscription).
Legal basis (EEA/UK): Performance of a contract.
Maintain & improve reliability and security (troubleshooting, fraud prevention, preventing abuse).
Legal basis: Legitimate interests.
Customer support (respond to your requests).
Legal basis: Performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., tax/transaction records via platform stores).
We do not use your data for advertising or for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3) Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We only share data with:
Platform stores (Apple / Google) to validate purchases. They are separate controllers of purchase data.
Service providers strictly necessary to run the app (e.g., secure cloud hosting). Providers act under contract, process data on our instructions, and must protect it.
Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.
Your workouts are private by default and are not visible to other users.
4) International transfers
We operate worldwide. Your data may be processed in your country and/or in other countries where we or our providers have facilities (including the EU/EEA, UK, and/or the United States). Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and take appropriate safeguards.
5) Data retention
Workouts: kept until you delete them or delete your account.
Purchase validation records: kept as long as required for subscription operation and legal/compliance purposes.
Support emails: kept for as long as needed to resolve your issue and for reasonable audit purposes.
If you delete your account, we’ll delete or irreversibly de-identify your workouts within a reasonable period (typically ≤30 days, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements).
6) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the data we have about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete data (including account deletion).
Export/portability of your workouts.
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (not generally used today).
How to exercise: use in-app tools (where available) or email privacy@royalmiri.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. EEA/UK residents may contact their data protection authority; California residents have additional CPRA rights (know, delete, correct, and non-discrimination). We do not sell or “share” personal information as defined by CPRA.
7) Children’s privacy
Musclo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country; 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
8) Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest (encryption, access controls, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure; we work to keep safeguards up-to-date.
9) Subscriptions & payments
Musclo offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we receive a receipt/token to know whether your subscription is active. Manage billing, renewals, and refunds directly via your store account settings. We do not store your card or bank details.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app or in law. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in-app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
