I am currently in my 6th year of teaching. I worked in Rapid City as an Adapted PE teacher prior to Spearfish. I love what I do and truly believe in the power of movement and activity. I graduated with my Masters degree in Exercise Physiology in 2011. I had the opportunity to tryout oversees in Germany for basketball, but due to injuries decided it was time to hang up the sneakers. I worked in the schools as a paraprofessional until I decided I wanted to get my second degree in education. I graduated from Black Hills State in December of 2016 as a double major in PE and Special Education.
I have roots in both Colorado and Wyoming, however I have called the Black Hills home for 8 years now. I fell in love with Spearfish the first time I ran Big Hill and haven't looked back. I enjoy all things outdoors: hiking, running, disc golf, regular golf, skiing, and most recently mountain biking. I coach middle school volleyball & basketball and most recently accepted the head coaching position for Special Olympics!
