Students are given until the end of a unit to turn in the required assignments. After the unit has ended assignments will no longer be accepted for that unit. Any late assignment will also lose up to 5 points for being late. Due dates for each graded assignment is written down on the board at the front of the classroom. It is recommended students write these down in a planner.
Tests/ Project= 100 points for each.
I try to make sure that grades are updated at least bi-weekly, if not weekly. They will be entered on Friday afternoons. You should have been provided with a username and password to Infinite Campus, this is where you will go to check your student's grades.
Absent:
If your student is going to be absent, please have them let me know or send an email so that I can give them their work ahead of time. I do understand that sick days happen or that absences can't always be planned, in this case, I have a designated area where I will be placing any assignments missed, so that students can go grab them.
Late Work:
I will give due dates for each assignment and then also give a date when that assignment will no longer be accepted after the end of the unit (this does not include work from having excused absences, we follow the policy from the handbook for those). This allows me to keep up with grading. There is a designated place for students to turn in any late/missing assignments that will be checked daily to insure grades are kept as up to date as possible.
