I grew up in Sundance, WY and graduated from Black Hills State University in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education.

I have taught Kindergarten, Head Start, and had a home day care, but Kindergarten is my favorite! I love getting to know my students and their families, and I love the enthusiasm that they have for learning and school.

My philosophy of learning is that "all children can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way". I hope to provide many opportunities for each child to grow and learn in the way that is right for him or her.

My family consists of my husband Lance, our children, and a dog named Scout. My oldest daughter Savannah and her husband Jaysen live in California, where she teaches second grade, and he programs the YouTube app. My middle son Josh, is a senior in high school and loves playing baseball and video games. My youngest daughter, Morgan is a sophomore; she plays softball, and is in the band.

In my spare time, I love reading, gardening, baking, and spending time with my family.
