About Me

Hello!  I am so excited to be teaching math this year.  I have been teaching Math at Spearfish for 4 years.  Before that I worked in the ALAC room for two years.   I was in the United States Air Force for 27 years before retiring in 2013.  I bounced around for a bit, working heavy equipment, consulting, and civil service before landing in Spearfish in 2018.  I graduated from University of Phoenix with a degree in Business and Management before completing my Masters degree in Aeronautical Science at Embry Riddle University.  

My wife Sharon and I have three grown daughters who are out on their own now, two cats, and an elderly dog, Cleo.

I love to do anything outdoors: biking, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting.  

My philosophy is that everyone can learn math.  It may take several different approaches, but everyone is capable of understanding the concepts.  

Math is easy....once it is understood.
