I’m so glad you are enrolled in Spanish this year! I look forward to an exciting and productive year of language learning and cultural exploration.
In this course, students will develop foundational Spanish language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will also explore important cultural similarities and differences to help students better understand and appreciate the diverse Spanish-speaking world.

About Me
Hello! My name is Alexis Codr (formerly Quail). I recently got married this July and am excited to begin this new chapter both personally and professionally.
I grew up in South Denver and was active in both gymnastics and tennis during high school. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K–8) from Black Hills State University in 2021.
This will be my fifth year at SMS as the Spanish teacher. I'm also the co-advisor for the SMS Student Council, where students can take part in a variety of leadership and learning opportunities. Additionally, I coach high school girls tennis in the fall and boys tennis in the spring.
I’m so excited to welcome our new 6th graders and continue working with our amazing 7th and 8th grade students this year!
