We are currently looking for a Lab custodian, Administrative staff, Guidance counselor and Senior Public Accountant
Background
The San Pedro College of Business Administration is the premier school of the south, the proud institution home to relevant and vibrant education, a college that bravely faced the challenges of the times and the onslaught of commerce, and has tremendously grown along with the changes and progress in the region.
Founder Cheng Eng Teng established SPCBA in 1986 when the practical necessity for a collegiate institution in this part of Laguna to serve its burgeoning middle-class population dawned on him. Daily commutes, distant and expensive schools, and inconvenient travels, all dedicated that San Pedro Laguna needed its own college. Mr. Cheng Eng Teng did not fail to notice that. As an immigrant from Xiamen China who barely had formal education, he fully understood and appreciated the value of education, and firmly believed that quality education has a place in the very heart of San Pedro.
And so rose the San Pedro College of Business Administration, offering courses in accountancy and business administration in a sleepy, agricultural setting. Succeeding, as the years went by seeing San Pedro transform to the urbanized city that it is now, SPCBA branched out to computer and information technology programs, and then later on in hospitality and tourism management, and finally in secondary education courses and psychology. In 1996, it also began offering graduate courses in business administration and in government management in its graduate school of business.
From the 300 or so students it had when it accepted entrants in 1988, the population has long grown to more than ten folds, something to partly credit for making SPCBA a by- word in San Pedro and its neighbors.
It has since produced thousands of certified public accountants, licensed teachers, engineers and businessmen, and mental health and hospitality professionals. And it is now as known in the academe as it is in the community. SPCBA has gone a long way.
And it is the pioneering spirit of Cheng Eng Teng-who set out to establish his roots and live a full life as a fisherman in Mercedes, a merchant in Camarines Norte and a movie house owner, a mall proprietor, and finally, a college educator in Laguna-that made all these possible.
Timely and relevant education, an outstanding lineup of faculty of teachers, up-to-date and useful curricula, varied teaching techniques, and a unique blend of liberal culture and traditional values have made SPCBA weather a competitive and demanding environment and flourish in the changing times.
Those who call themselves SPCBA alumni are comfortable with change, adept with technology, modern business and corporate culture, and the challenges of globalization.
This is SPCBA...always ahead... the genius of Cheng Eng Teng
