Remarks:
The Main Round offer is the BEST AND ONLY offer to be made for the same academic year (2025 – 2026) and is of the highest possible priority on the applicant's programme choice list.
Applicants who are given Main Round offers, regardless of whether they accept or decline such offers, will NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes offered under JUPAS for the same academic year (2025 – 2026).
If you have upgraded HKDSE Examination results on subject levels after rechecking and remarking, you will be given a time slot to modify your JUPAS choices (14 August, 9 am – 6 pm).
You will not be disadvantaged if you are placed above the last applicant admitted to the programme in the main round in the merit order list of the programme.
Points to note:
a) i) Case I: You may modify programme choices by
REPLACING up to 5 programme choices on the programme choice lists with new programmes / ADDING a maximum of 5 new programmes to the original programme choice lists (as long as the total number of programme choices does not exceed 20);
CHANGING the preference order of the programme choices;
DELETING programmes from the programme choice lists.
After that, submit your programme choices rather than save them as DRAFT programme choices.
Retain copies of the confirmation page and confirmation emails as proof that their requests and programme choices have successfully been submitted and modified respectively.
ii) Case II: You may submit a request for reconsidering the application without modifying your programme choices.
But you still need to log in to JUPAS and submit the requests.
After that, retain copies of the confirmation page and confirmation emails as proof that their requests and programme choices have successfully been submitted and modified respectively.
b) Do not delete the programme you have been offered in the Main Round.
c) Place the programme you wish to be admitted to above the programme you have been offered in the Main Round.
If you are not already holding an offer from a UK university or college, either because
a) you didn’t receive any offers or
b) you declined your offers
and a course still has places,
you can apply for it using Clearing from 5 July – 20 October.
If you are eligible for Clearing, your Clearing number will show under ‘Application status’ in your application.
If you have not previously applied for UCAS courses, you will need to register and submit an application before you can access your Clearing number.
Method 1:
You can search for clearing courses at https://www.ucas.com/clearing-launch. Contact universities and colleges about courses you are interested in. Their phone numbers are available in the search tool. You may also send them an email and ask questions about accommodation and exam certificates. The UCAS site will update vacancy information continually during Clearing so keep checking for vacancies available.
Method 2:
Alternatively, you may attend overseas education fairs in August.
Method 3:
In addition, you may contact different UK universities by phone and/or by email directly:
Once the university or college has given you a verbal offer, you should add the clearing choice in your application by the date the university gave you in the verbal offer. If the university or college confirms your place, you will be enrolled in the course.
You may apply for a course if you are holding a firm unconditional place but you will need to release yourself into Clearing, by using the ‘decline your place’ button. If you use the button and complete the steps, you will lose your place – therefore, only use this button if you are sure you no longer want your place.
UCAS will match you to courses you may be interested in, using what they know about you from your application, and what universities and colleges are looking for in a student. If you are unplaced or have started a new application, a button will appear – ‘See matches’. This will take you to your top 50 course matches. You will then be able to tell universities and colleges you are ‘interested’ in their courses by using the “interested” button. If they still have vacancies and you meet their entry requirements, they may call you.
