Classroom teachers use a variety of tools throughout the year to assess student progress including, but not limited to DIBELs, Literably, and benchmark assessments.
At the end of grade 2 all students will be administered the CogAT assessment. Any new student who was in a G&T program in their prior district will be accepted into the pull-out G&T program once verifiable data has been provided from the previous district. Multiple measures are then taken into consideration when determining final eligibility for services at the beginning of the school year:

Report Card Grades
Students who are identified as eligible can take AP and Honors courses in Math, ELA, Social Studies, Science, Spanish, Business, and Music. Eligibility is based on assessment data, prior grades, and teacher/parent recommendation.
*CogAT Scores are valid for two years.
