GRIHA Training Programme Successfully Conducted at SPA Vijayawada
The School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, successfully conducted the GRIHA Training Programme based on GRIHA Version 2019 from 24th to 26th April 2025 at the M.B.E.M – 2nd Year Studio, 5th Floor. Organized in collaboration with the GRIHA Council and the Institution’s Innovation Council (Ministry of Education Initiative), the three-day workshop offered a comprehensive learning experience on sustainable architecture and green building practices.
The training featured expert sessions delivered by Ms. Krithikha Muthukrishnan, Ms. Prerona Kaushik, and Mr. Anupam Buttan, covering critical topics such as Sustainable Site Planning, Construction Management, Water and Solid Waste Management, Energy Optimization, Occupant Comfort, and Innovation.
The programme was well-received by students and faculty, reflecting strong engagement with sustainability themes. It was coordinated by Ar. Karthik Chadalavada (Assistant Professor) under the academic guidance of Prof. Dr. Iyer Vijayalaxmi Kasinath, Course Coordinator for M.Arch Sustainable Architecture, with the leadership support of Prof. Dr. Ramesh Srikonda (Director, SPA Vijayawada) and Prof. Dr. Srinivas Daketi (HoD).
