Campus-Wide Cleanliness Drive Successfully Held at SPA Vijayawada as Part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026

As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign, a campus-wide cleanliness drive was successfully held at the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada (SPA Vijayawada) on 21 September 2026. The programme witnessed enthusiastic and voluntary participation from faculty members, non-faculty staff, students and members of the SPA Vijayawada community, who came together with a shared commitment towards maintaining a clean, healthy and sustainable campus environment.

During the cleanliness drive, participants collectively cleaned various areas across the campus and promoted responsible waste management practices through source-level segregation of wet and dry waste. The activity helped create greater awareness about the importance of proper waste segregation and encouraged the campus community to adopt sustainable waste management practices in their daily lives.

The initiative reflected the spirit of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, emphasising that cleanliness is a collective responsibility and that meaningful environmental change begins with individual participation and community action.

The successful conduct of the cleanliness drive at SPA Vijayawada reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to promoting clean surroundings, responsible waste management, environmental awareness and sustainable practices among its campus community.
