The school will administer exams for Year 3 to Year 12 on-screen and online using a 2-device system. The details are described in the following sections.
The video below summarizes the details of the S.P.A. online and on-screen examination procedure as communicated to parents and students alike in a meeting this term.
The meeting was conducted just last Friday, 27 August 2021. Thus, it contains an up-to-date information where even those who have already experienced the procedure in academic years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 may need to check its content again.
Each student must get all the necessary equipment, materials and tools ready prior to the examinations. Those must be set up following the specifications shown in the video embedded at the left.
For the Set-Up
Device #1: A laptop/desktop with a fully functioning camera and with student's SPA account logged in to a browser.
Device #2: Any other internet-enabled device e.g. another laptop, tablet, phone, and the like with student's SPA account logged in to a browser. This device must have a fully functioning camera, microphone and built-in speaker.

Subject-specific additional materials
Depending on the subject and as informed by teachers, students are allowed or must have the following:

Paper and/or graph paper
Tools e.g. protractor, ruler, calculator
It is recommended that you set up your workspace in accordance to the content of the video before joining Google Meet [GM].
Join GM by clicking link from Google Classroom [GC] at least 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time to meet your invigilator.
Your invigilator will check / assist you on the following:
Device #1 set-up
Device #2 set-up
Additional materials needed in specific exams
Sharing entire screen
Account removal [linked here]
While being recorded starting from Pre-Exam Time, answer the questions given via Google Forms [GF].
If you encounter issues about the form, notify the invigilator by typing at the GM chat box.
In long CA1 papers, you can have 5-minute toilet break. However, you must submit the form's PART I first without opening PART II yet.
If you do not need the toilet break, you can either
proceed with the PART II without needing to submit PART I yet, or
submit PART I and proceed with PART II of the CA1 form.
The invigilator, after informing you the end of exam time, will guide you in turning your CA1 in.
In particular,
copying-and-pasting PIN/code from GM chat panel onto the corresponding field in the last page of the form before submitting the form,
turning in via the GC.
At this point, you will be dismissed if your CA1 paper requires no photo upload.
For subjects requiring working, diagrams, graphs, and the likes, your invigilator will guide you regarding photo upload to GC CA1 post.
The following links can give you further information regarding
what your invigilator will tell you before, during and after the scheduled exam,
how CA1 Part I looks like, and
how CA1 Part II looks like.

60% CA1 Result
40% Ongoing Assessment Result
The Ongoing Assessment is broken down into several criteria like Written Work, Performance Tasks, Projects and the likes and has already been explained to you at the beginning of the term.
Other than absence, technical issues could be another reason for student's failure to complete the CA1 this time. It should be dealt with just the same as when he/she was absent.
Zero [0] for the CA1 + 40% Ongoing Assessment if the reason is NOT VALID, or
100% Ongoing Assessment if the reason is VALID.
Note
The school will not reschedule the CA1 exam missed by a student. The final grade / term grade of student will be based on the above and the validity of the reasons for failure to complete CA1.
For a technical issue-reason to be valid, it has to be communicated by parents in writing, with submitted evidence for a special committee's evaluation and check with the recorded Meet session.
