About me
2020-2021 starts my thirteenth year as an educator and sixth year at Southern Lehigh High School! I began my teaching career at Louis E. Dieruff High School in 2008. In those six years I taught 9th grade English, Journalism, and a Film History course that I designed. I was the 2016 class advisor, AV Club advisor, and Debate Team Coach.
My college career began when I attended Penn State University as a Film major. Thanks in large part to my high school English teacher, I had an epiphany and quickly changed to be a Secondary Education major at Kutztown University. During my time there I was a member of Sigma Tau Delta (the English Honor's Fraternity) and Shoofly Literary Magazine. I graduated with Honor's in 2008, and completed my M.A. in English (focus on the social and political implications of found footage films) in December 2014.
Currently I am the very proud advisor of Southern Lehigh's Yearbook, The Solehian, and mini-THON 2020.
