Thanks for visiting my page to learn more about me!
My name is Lori Simons, and this is my 29th year of teaching. I might be getting old! Holy cow! I have taught first or second grade for my whole career. I truly love second grade. It's a year of tremendous growth!
My teaching career started in Bethlehem, where I spent eleven years at Freemansburg Elementary School. I moved to Coopersburg and have been with Southern Lehigh since 2007. I spent 9 awesome years at Lower Milford Elementary School. 2016-2017 was my first year at Hopewell. I have been truly blessed to work in three amazing schools!
I grew up in Bethlehem, where I attended public schools and loved every minute of my childhood. I am a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1987 (proud alumni of the Liberty High School Grenadier Band), Kutztown University, and Wilkes University.
My husband Bob and I were married in 2016. He is a retired fireman and Ford Mustang enthusiast! We enjoy being outdoors, going to concerts, and eating good cheeseburgers. I am the mother of one beautiful daughter, Alise, who graduated cum laude from Moravian College in May 2024, and is now a substitute teacher. She's an amazing person; smart, kind, and hard-working! I'm very proud of her. We have two dogs that make us laugh every day. Minnie is a Havanese. She's 11. She is the perfect lap dog. Duff is an Italian Greyhound. He's almost two years old. He's hyper and funny but very snuggly and affectionate. They are both naughty little stinkers, but super cute!!! (Alise has a dog, too. She's an English Pointer and she's a very good girl!)
If you want to know more, please ask. I'm not shy!
