I have lived in Upper Saucon Township with my husband and daughter for over 20 years. After being the librarian for the Bethlehem Township (Hunterdon County, Asbury, NJ) for 10 years, I started working for Southern Lehigh in 1997 as the part-time librarian at Lower Milford Elementary. I came to JPLIS when it opened in 2009.

I got my Bachelors degree in Library Science from Millersville University and my Masters of Library Science (MLS) from the University of Pittsburgh.

I am known among the staff at JPLIS for always having whatever they need - from Shout Wipes to sewing kits to antacids.

One of my professional skills is that I can read as well upside-down as right-side-up. It comes from years of reading picture books to classes of kindergarteners and first graders!

When I'm not at school, I love to garden, shop and read. I have 2 cats who keep me company and entertain me. I also try to cook but I am not generally very good at following a recipe. I do best when I "wing it" and invent my own concoctions. Fortunately, my husband will eat almost anything!

In addition to teaching the students of JPLIS about libraries, books and research, I also volunteer as the Coordinator of Southern Lehigh's Odyssey of the Mind (OM) program. I have coached 4 teams over the years. Learn more about Odyssey of the Mind at www.odysseyofthemind.com or view the slide presentation for the September 2019 OM Information Night by clicking here.
