With the recent school closures, we are all coping with helping our children through learning at home. I have two young children at home that I have now spent a week trying to juggle working from home, having them complete work assigned by their teachers, and maintaining all of our sanity. IT IS HARD!!! This is not an easy task for any of us now.

6. Keep your child connected with peers and family during this time. It is important that we are able to connect with others in some fashion even though we physically can not be near each other. This can be through video games, Facetime, texting, and Facebook Messenger for kids. Make sure you are supervising their interactions when using social media. There are many apps that are not appropriate for pre-teens and younger. Children need guidance on what is appropriate behavior when interacting virtually. Set timeframes on when it is appropriate to use and for how long.
