World Geography and Cultures 

Introduction to Geography Skills- 

• map skills including cardinal directions, latitude and longitude

• physical and human features

• world population

• globalization 

Utilizing the Five Themes of Geography, Seventh Grade World Geography & Cultures will focus on the following geographic areas: 

North Africa & Southwest Asia- Middle East

Sub-Saharan Africa 

Asia- South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia

Global Issues will also be an integral part of the seventh grade curriculum as students are encouraged to keep abreast of local, national, and global issues.
