Here are some fun facts about me:
I am a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Elementary Education K-6 grade, and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. As a teacher, it is important to always keep learning, so one college degree wasn't enough! I also have a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Gwynedd Mercy University and I am currently completing my Reading Specialist certification.
I have worked in the education field for over 20 years in many different roles.
I began at JPLIS in 2016 as a Title 1 Instructional Assistant.
I have two children (ages 21 and 17), and two dogs. It can be a very busy house!
I love to read, travel, and take walks with my dogs.
When I was in first grade I told everyone I wanted to be a teacher, so for Christmas my dad made me a classroom in our basement. My classroom is a bit bigger now and filled with kids instead of stuffed animals, but my excitement for teaching has never changed.
