Welcome to my classroom!

Welcome to 2nd grade at Sugar Ridge Elementary school!  My name is Stephen Van Deusen and I am one of the 2nd grade teachers this year!

I graduated from North Greenville University with my undergraduate in Elementary Education and also graduated from USC Upstate with a Master’s degree in Applied Learning and Instruction.  This will be my 19th year teaching, I taught at Boiling Springs Intermediate School for a number of years as well as having spent time at Cooley-Springs Elementary (also in D2) as well as Dutchtown Elementary in Henry County, Georgia.

I live in Gaffney, SC with my wife and daughter as well as our four cats and dog.  I’m a huge fan of Star Wars, Batman, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  I enjoy watching movies and television shows, spending time with my family, cooking, and shopping on Amazon!
