HOW TO GET HERE

Venue Address: Pippingford Park, Pippingford Estate, Nutley, East Sussex, TN22 3HW.

GENERAL PARKING: Head straight to the venue using the address above. As you get close, please follow the event signage and turn off your sat nav. Event parking is FREE at this venue.
BY CAR: Easily accessible via the A22 (connecting to the M25 J6 or A23/M23 via the A264). As you get close, follow the traffic management signs to guide you into the event parking fields.
BY TRAIN: East Grinstead Railway Station and Uckfield Railway Station are the closest major stations, both located about a fifteen-minute taxi ride away with regular service from London Victoria and London Bridge. Haywards Heath Station is also nearby (approx. 25 minutes by taxi).
BY TAXI: Local taxi services operate directly from East Grinstead and Uckfield stations (Forest Cars Uckfield: 01825 768222 | Western Cars East Grinstead: 01342 300000 | Ray's Taxis Uckfield: 01825 764353). Uber and rideshare apps also operate in the area, but pre-booking local taxis in advance is strongly recommended. Alternatively, Compass Travel Route 261 runs along the A22 toward the estate entrance.
DROP OFF INFORMATION: Drop off and pick up for rideshare apps, friends, and family is permitted at the general parking area.

BRITISH OBSTACLE SPORT MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

British Obstacle Sports membership is required for all Spartan athletes competing in Elite and Age Group categories. Day Passes and Day Membership options are also available for those who do not hold an annual membership.

International athletes may alternatively purchase an International Season Pass. This is provided free of charge for athletes who are current members of their own recognised national federation.

New members can also receive 30% off a British Obstacle Sports one-year annual membership using the code SPARTAN30. Register HERE.

Please note that athletes without a valid membership or suitable pass will be moved into the first non-competitive wave.

SPARTAN ID - FOR A FASTER RACE PACKET PICK UP

We're launched a new way to collect your Race Packet. No digging out ID. No printing. Just your phone. And it means a faster experience on race day.

Introducing the Spartan ID.

Found right in the Spartan App, your Spartan ID is your Race Packet pass. Show it at Race Packet Pick-Up and you're straight through. That's it.

You're among the first to use it, so take two minutes today to get set up and arrive ready.

Step 1: Download the Spartan App Create an account using the same email address linked to your Spartan Account on the website.

Step 2: Claim your ticket In the app, go to your Spartan Account, head to the Events tab and tap Add Athlete to assign your ticket to yourself. You'll see it turn green when it's done. That's your Spartan ID activated.

Step 3: Race day Open the Spartan App, head to your Spartan ID and show it at Race Packet Pick-Up. Collect your chip, headband and wristband and you're through.

Did someone buy your ticket for you? Ask them to send it to you from their Spartan Account. Once it lands in your account, you'll need to claim it yourself. This won't happen automatically. Do this today.

If your ticket has already been assigned to you by the purchaser, you won't be able to claim it via the app. Bring a valid photo ID (a picture on your phone is fine) and your race QR code to Race Packet Pick-Up instead.

Mandatory Gear: Head Torches

A functional head torch or headlamp is mandatory for every Night Sprint racer. You must have it turned on and secured in the start chute. No light, no race. If you arrive without a working headlamp, you will be denied entry to the course.

Course Conditions

Pippingford Park changes once the sun drops. Terrain becomes trickier to read, roots and mud trenches drop into shadow, and obstacles loom faster. Watch your foot placement, trust your gear, and pick your lines early.

Arrive early, check your headlamp batteries, and be at the start line 15 minutes before your heat.

WHAT TO BRING

Your Phone - To access your Spartan ID - Be sure to have download the Spartan App, claimed your ticket.

Spare clothes and shoes and a towel.

Bag for muddy clothes - We have enough odd socks and muddy shoes to last a lifetime! Please take your muddy clothes home with you.

Your bank card - We’re are cashless. Whether you’re buying the newest kit or re-fuelling post race, you’ll want your bank card to hand.

RACE PHOTOS

What you need to know:

We've updated how you opt in to biometric (Facial Recognition) photo search. At check-in: Sign the consent waiver and collect your headband.

How it works:

Headband on your head = consent. We'll find your photos automatically via selfie search.
Headband on your wrist, or no headband = no consent. Biometric search won't run on your photos.
This applies photo by photo, so check your headband stays on your head throughout the race.

No consent? No problem:

Search by time: filter photos around your specific arrival times.
Browse galleries: scroll checkpoint photos by the time you passed through.

Pre-purchased a photo package? Sportograf emails your access code and search link directly, no Spartan account needed. The same rule applies: headband on = consent.

PRO TIPS

Be sure you’ve claimed and assigned your ticket—unclaimed tickets will slow your onsite check-in and event day experience.
View your ticket(s) and barcode in your Spartan account, screenshot for offline access.

Bring a fresh change of clothes, towel and an extra layer if it’s cold.

After you check-in, make sure your wristband is on nice and firm. You will need this throughout your time on course.

Adults get lost too. Make sure you pre-arrange a meeting point with your teammates in case you get separated.

BAG DROP

Bag drop is included in your ticket price, and requires no additional fee.

Head to the bag drop and you'll recieve a double wristband, one for your wrist and another for your bag. Ensure both bands are securley fastented as you'll need both to collect your bag.

Please do not leave any valuable items in your bag. Spartan is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

CAMPING

Camping is available on the nights of Friday 25th and Saturday 26th September.
Arrival & Check-In: Check-in opens on Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM (The latest arrival time is 9pm). Follow the signs to the camping area entrance, where you must present your ID and registration QR code. Exact opening windows will be emailed to you 14 days before race weekend.

Camping facilities will include toilets but no showers, please plan accordingly.
