Caitlin Jozefczyk has been teaching History at Sparta High School for the past 7 years. She was a volunteer coach on the girls team for her first 2 years, and has been the head coach for the last 5. She has helped the girls team win their conference for the last 5 years in a row, The girls have also won the State Sectional title twice in the last 4 years, won the Group 2 State Championship for the first time in program history during the 2022 season, and won their second HWS title in a row two seasons ago! The girls team was ranked top 10 in the state in 2024. In addition, "Coach J" is responsible for helping to start the boys volleyball program at Sparta as well, which is entering its 6th year. She was the assistant coach its first year, and the Head Coach for the past 4 Prior to coming to Sparta, Coach J taught and coached the girls and boys teams at West Essex High School in North Caldwell for 6 years, and the girls team at Mary Help of Christians Academy for 3 years before that. She started playing volleyball in 4th grade, when her dad was her team's coach. She played as a setter and libero in high school at DePaul Catholic, and as the libero on the club team at The College of New Jersey.

Girls
The Sparta Girls Volleyball team has grown into an extremely competitive and well-known program, ending the last 4 seasons being ranked Top 10 in the state. The girls have won the NJAC American Division for the last 5 years, won the North I Group 2 Sectional Title twice in the last 4 years, brought home the program's first ever Group 2 State Championship title in 2022, and has won the HWS Championship two years in a row in 2023 and 2024. The team has had multiple players ranked to all-state teams and all-conference honors, and look to continue to dominate in the seasons to come.
Boys:
Sparta is proud to FINALLY have a boys volleyball program as well. This is only its 6th year as a Varsity program, and the team is proud to compete in one of the toughest conferences in the state. The team is looking to build the program in the coming years!
