SMS Veterans Museum
SMS Veterans Museum
In honor of Veterans Day, SMS is creating a temporary museum to learn about the experiences and sacrifices of our local veterans and those of friends and families of staff members and students.
We are looking for students who would like to share the story of their veteran through a short written piece and an artifact that will be on display for our school community during the week of November 9th. Artifacts can include belongings like pictures, uniforms, medals, letters, etc. The student can either interview the veteran or provide information that the family has about a veteran who has passed. We will safely store the artifacts before the display and return them immediately following it.
If a student does not know a veteran personally, but would like to participate, please contact Mrs. Kiff (kelly.kiff@sparta.org).
Please complete the Google Form so we can reach out directly to you.
