About Ms. G

Dear Parents/Guardians,

    I am very excited about teaching your child this year.  My philosophy in education is child-centered, which allows for each student in my class to gain knowledge in the subject area while feeling comfortable and confident.  I believe that every child can be successful at learning when provided with a positive learning environment.  

    I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA where I received a B.A. in government history and elementary education.   After graduation I went to Boston to pursue a MED in education at Boston College.  Once I returned to New Jersey, I continued my education at the New Jersey State University, where I received a master’s degree in administration.  I have taught in Sparta for 22 years, and I am very happy to be at the Mohawk Avenue School teaching third grade.
