About Me

Hi there! My name is Andrea Nigro and I teach vocal (general) music to students in grades 3-5 here in Sparta. I also direct the 4th and 5th grade chorus programs. 

I am a proud graduate of Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, NY where I lived until I attended college.

 I am a summa cum laude graduate of the Hartt School of Music in West Hartford, Connecticut where I earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a vocal music emphasis. My undergraduate training focused specifically on vocal music and general music in early childhood.  

I taught in Manchester, Connecticut for two years before moving to New Jersey and joining the Sparta school district team.  

When I'm not teaching I enjoy reading, spending time at the beach, cooking, spending time with family and friends and chasing after my young son Leo! I'm looking forward to a great year!
