My name is Mr. O'Connor and I am very excited about the upcoming school year. I have ten years of experience in English language arts & literacy instruction, working with students in both the elementary and middle school levels, most recently as a Reading Interventionist. This will be my first year at HMS. I look forward to a very successful school year ahead!

I married my high school sweetheart, and together we have a daughter, Blaire, son, Bennett, & our beloved lab, Mylah. We're also very excited to welcome our third child this October!

I graduated from the Univeristy of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017 with a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I also earned an additional M.Ed. in Literacy Instruction, along with my Reading Specialist certificate from Centenary University in 2025.
