Class overview
This year in 6th grade history, we will study the early development of the United States. Using history, we will strengthen your reading, writing, debate and geography skills. We will use a variety of resources including primary source materials, biographies, maps, art of the time period, newspapers and political cartoons to better understand the origins of the United States.
Supplies for class:
Earbuds or headphones that work with your school issued Chromebook (we will distribute the computers during the first week of school)
Something to write with (pencils or pens, whatever you prefer)
About me:
I'm really looking forward to being your teacher this year! I have been a history teacher for 20 years. I hope you find history as interesting and exciting as I do. It's going to be a great year!
