Virtual Academy Expectations
Virtual Academy students work independently on their coursework in Apex and/or Google Classroom. Their progress is monitored by their academic advisors. To be successful in the Virtual Academy, students should strive to meet the following expectations.
Students will use the pacing guides each day to complete assignments in each course. There is a pacing guide for each course. Each day, students should check the pacing guide and complete the assignments listed for the day.
Students will check email at least twice a day, at the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day for important announcements. As a virtual school, email is our primary mode of direct communication with students and parents.
Students should only use their school-issued devices for school work. All Chromebooks are monitored through Hapara, and school staff has access to view student screens at anytime when devices are in use.
