Virtual Academy Expectations

Virtual Academy students work independently on their coursework in Apex and/or Google Classroom. Their progress is monitored by their academic advisors. To be successful in the Virtual Academy, students should strive to meet the following expectations.

  • Students will use the pacing guides each day to complete assignments in each course. There is a pacing guide for each course. Each day, students should check the pacing guide and complete the assignments listed for the day.

  • Students will check email at least twice a day, at the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day for important announcements. As a virtual school, email is our primary mode of direct communication with students and parents.

  • Students should only use their school-issued devices for school work. All Chromebooks are monitored through Hapara, and school staff has access to view student screens at anytime when devices are in use.
