Landrum High School Summer Reading

Rationale

Welcome to Landrum High School’s English Department Summer Reading page.  As students journey through their high school years, we are committed to providing them with a meaningful summer reading experience.  The selected books are chosen from the list AP English suggested works in order to help prepare Honors English students for national AP exams and college programs.  Deep reading is imperative for the acquisition of vocabulary, a broader understanding of the world, and the development of one’s IQ. While the reading assignments are listed for Honors English Classes, we want to encourage all students to read.  CP English students can earn extra credit for completing the assignments; please see your CP English teacher for specifics about the point value of the extra credit.
