About Us

Mrs. Ruff

Hi, My name is Amy Ruff and I am so excited to be part of the Kindergarten Team. More importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. Here are a few things about me. I was born and raised in the Upstate. I have one older sister named Monica. I graduated from Chapman High School and went on to Converse College. I have my Masters Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. This is my 24th year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. I think kindergarten is my favorite because I get to watch as children become readers. It doesn’t get any better!I am surrounded by boys at home!! My husband’s name is Daniel. We have two wonderful sons. My oldest , Luke, is a senior at Chapman. Jackson is almost 11 and he is here at NPE with me. He is in 5th grade. We love to go camping and we have a Golden Retriever named Alex.

Brad and I have two children. Brayden is 8 years old. This will be his first year here. Ava is 3 years old. I love to coupon! I also enjoy doing arts and crafts. I grew up in District One Schools. I graduated from Chapman High School in 2004. I am just graduated from Spartanburg Community College with an Associates in Art. I am working towards my bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked in childcare for about 10 years. I have taught different age groups. My favorite age to teach are the younger children because they are so eager to learn anything new. I love the excitement they show when they see they can grasp the concept they are learning. I am looking forward to a great year of learning with your child.
