Mr. Vibhore Bakshi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the School of Planning and Architecture SPA, Bhopal from 2018 onwards. He is also pursuing a Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee, focusing on the “Impact of the Knowledge Economy on Regional Development in India”. His research and academic interests span around Regional development, Public Policy, Innovation and Knowledge-based economies, and complexities in spatial plans.
Mr. Bakshi has presented his work at prestigious international platforms, including WCTR 2023 (Montreal), IPPA 2023 (Toronto), SDC (Bangkok), and ARCP (Busan). His research is published under Springer Nature; Elsevier and Routledge, and he serves as a peer reviewer for International publishers including Springer Nature and Routledge.
He is a Track Chair at IPPA5 in Chiang Mai, 2025 and currently editing a book for the Springer series which will be published in Oct- Nov 2025. Professionally, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI), a nominated member of its Information Technology Team, and associated with international forums like International Public Policy Association and the World Conference on Transport Research.
Through his teaching, research, and service, Mr. Bakshi contributes to the advancement of urban and regional planning domain with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth and through facilitation of recommendations to students for further higher pursuits (LSE, UCL, UBC etc.)
