Different Degree Types:
Associate's Degree (2 years)
Bachelor's Degree (4 years)
Master's Degree (1-2 years AFTER getting a Bachelor's Degree)
Doctoral Degree (Approx. 4 years AFTER getting a Master's Degree)

**Mrs. Campbell does have a Minnesota Guide to all of their 33 state colleges and universities to look at in her office.

Branches of the military include:
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
In order to join the military, you will need to take the ASVAB. This is a timed multiple-aptitude test. For different branches and jobs within those branches, you will need to achieve a minimum score.
SWV Juniors take the ASVAB in the fall to help identify strong skills and career options.

Apprenticeships
Paid job that provides on-the-job training in a highly skilled career.
Structured learning is combined with on-the-job training
Both on-site and classroom experience are paid
Apprentices typically start at half a journeyman's hourly wage with salary increases every six months (varies by profession)
Receive health care benefits
Trade jobs account for 56% of Iowa's labor market.
More job opportunities than there are skilled labor to fill them.
